"God Inc" Featured On Vlog Soup, Buttleman on Knievel Comedy Site

A big thanks to Steve Garfield of "Vlog Soup" and "Rocketboom" for plugging our show! We're featured alongside vlogs about life in India and being on the campaign trail with John Edwards, which made us feel extremely important. Check it out.

Thanks also to 'zine writer Steve Mandich for featuring Buttleman on his Knievel Comedy page, an intensely thorough inventory (alongside such historic highlights as Penis Knievel and the cliffhanger episode of "Happy Days" with Fonzie jumping the now-proverbial shark...)

And a huge, heartfelt thanks to everybody who has left such nice comments. It's actually been a bit overwhelming. Except for the guy who called us weiners. He thinks we're weiners. But to the rest of you: thank you.

I saw God, Inc. via a link on the frontpage of Youtube.

What you've got here is a very funny show that is not yet very funny.

Which is not to say it can't be, but you guys are standing on the precipice of something great.

There are too many silent moments - not uncomfortable, hilarious silences, but silences that are there because you guys can't seem to write anything to fill them.

It doesn't need to be slapstick, but it needs to be faster. There are a lot of instances where you guys could have cracked a joke and you didn't. When you did, it was great, when you didn't, it was boring.

These episodes also need plots. They seem very random and unattached to the other. You could very easily have Sarah be the main character and have the audience see the inner-workings and goings-on of the office from her perspective. That doesn't mean JUST stick to Sarah, that means we just need a character to become attached to. If you went ahead and introduced the majority of the staff, then we can have some people to look for and care about.

Of course, you guys are only on episode 2, so it's no big deal if you haven't found your feet yet. But establish characters, conflicts, and give the show purpose rather than having it wonder around aimlessly.

The characters and departments you have created are great. You guys no doubt realize the possibilities present with this kind of concept. I can already imagine Sarah being shown to the Department of the Deceased and introduced to the Grim Reaper, who is some balding computer nerd with a penchant for Mountain Dew and a deep hatred for Macintosh and who has declared his mortal enemy as Steve Jobs.

I don't know what I'm saying. But keep up the good work. Luck is on your side - all your actors are good.

The above poster is utterly wrong. The first two episodes were pretty much perfect. Very solid comedy writing and acting.

Ah, I *love* God Inc! It's hilarious. I think the second poster was a little too critical. I thought your episodes were just fine. You don't need jokes in every corner... But that's just me. I'm no profesional! So in the end, I'd say do what makes you think is best. Heh, corny :)

Don't agree with the above poster. The "awkward pauses" thing adds to the realism, a bit like the "office", only not quite as horrible as that because of the supernatural content. I wouldn't change a thing, you have a great show and you have an enthusiastic fan right here.

I didn't say it was crap. I meant to say it was good and could have been even better.

Just trying to give some constructive criticism.

Pfffft! I was pimping out God, Inc. long before it was "cool". Buttleman too.

I'm at least 45 minutes ahead of my time.

Cool that so many are watching. Congrats.
